Veksar: The Invasion
NOTE ** This zone is only partially in live game **
- Location : Fens, north of Yah'lei platforms, underwater.
- Type : group instance
- Level : 78-80 (tank has to be 80)-> can be done with monk/bruiser as well
- Named NPC's : 4 (so far)
- Area Discoveries: 6
- Reset: Persistant 18-35 hours (if named killed)
- TIP: EVERYTHING in the zone can be stunned..
First part is underwater. First thing you will fight will be a wurm (looks like a basalt rumbler). These wurms are traps in various water parts of the zone (will point out later). These wurms are nothing special, just a straight fight. Next you come up to some Yah'lei who have invaded the aqua goblin zone. They are not hard, but all the yah'lei in this zone have a knockback+dd.
Next you will see a room down a hallway to your left with a waterfall for a door/barrier. Before this door is a wurm trap. Kill that. Go back up the hall and you'll see a room with a sarnak statue in it. In this room there is a wurm trap in the water nearby. Turning the statue to the left opens the door/barrier back where you just came from.
Back in that room, there are 2 golems. All the golems in this zone AE stun/dd right away. Proxy pull 1 at a time. There are 2 wurm traps on either side of the named elemental (guy looks cool). You can either avoid them or run into the room then out. The named will leash at the doorway, but the wurms will not.
Fighting the elemental : Has a good sized knockback, AE DD, AE stun. there are various corners to fight the guy. Just pick one, heal away and knock the bugger down. Named drops a "key" along with chest. (key is in chest).
Go back to statue. Center it, then turn it right.
Next room up has several mobs in it. 1-3 group of Yha'lei, 1-3 group of goblins and 2 single yha'lei. Body pull the 3 group yha'lei into the hall as well as the 2 single ones. Then fight the goblins either in hall or in the back of the room on right side. All goblins in this zone have ae knockback+DD.
Next kill goblin in hall to the west (left?). In that hall is a wurm trap (water pool). Proceed to next named.
There are 4 goblins and 1 named in here as well as a wurm trap WAY in the back (ignore it). Body pull the 2 goblins at door. Pull named to a corner area and the 2 adds will follow. They are easy, but have a few hp's. Straight fight, just some knockback+dd. Named will drop a "key" in the chest that drops.
As you will notice, there is a chest in the room that you just killed that named in. 1 person has to have the 2 keys (keys are lore and tradeable) you just got and can open the chest. A staff with a mirror on top suddenly appears. Take that staff back to the room that you just came from (with the 2 sets of guys). There is a triangle platform on the ground near the door with the barrier. Place the staff in the small platform. This will turn off the door. (neat effect btw)
Continue north (ahead), killing all the goblins and golems. You'll see a barrier with some goblins and a few golems not too far as you enter that north hall. Keep going til you get to a room on the right with some goblins and 1 golem. After clearing, you'll see a book on the far side of the room on a table. Read it. It's a silent update that takes down the barrier you just saw.
Golem chamber: There is a golem at the entrance to the room, 2 goblins a little further to the left and a stationary golem a little further down. Even though there is water in here, there are no wurm traps. When you fight the named golem, pull off the platform he is on. It's a real simple fight, but when he dies, he spawns 2 smaller verions of himself. After those 2 die, 3 more even smaller versions come out. These have a knockback though while the others did not.
Continue back north around the corner. You'll see a doorway that hops down into a pit. Careful, when you get near doorway, 2 (or 3) goblins at the base will attack. Just pull them back up into the hall. There is a climbable wall here if you wish. If you jump down into this next room, you'll get a wurm trap in the water. There is also a roamer in the hall and another at the end.
Last named room: Body pull the 2 goblins to either side of the named. This is a little more interesting now. The named has a incurable AE poison DOT that does around 4500 damage. Named can also do a hard hitting physical AE. Also in the fight 3-4 small goblins will spawn to help the named right away. These are very weak (level 82, no arrow, no heroic) goblins, but hit fast and use many mitigation debuff attacks. Either AE mez them or AE nuke em down fast. They do despawn when named is killed.
This zone seems to have very good smart loot code for items and spells. Some of the equipment is fairly decent. Not up to par from raid fabled of course. Chests can drop off trash as well, kinda like SoH trash drop rates.
That's it. The zone is very short and can be done in 45min to an hour really. The zone is supposed to get bigger with the expansion with 2 more named, which includes an undead dragon.
