- - Damage is the maximum damage it can do to a lv80 character. Those with good mitigation or resists will get hit for less. Those under level 80 will get hit for more.
Named Monsters
Senior Loyalist Tilas
- Mob Health: 83x4 5,500,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Crushing 5k-12k damage
- Special Attacks:
- Focus Anger - self buff
- Dreadful Swipe - 5k-25k Slashing dmg
- Dreadful Sweep - 10k-17k Crushing dmg
- Raging Blow - 5k Crushing dmg
- Wild Swing - 4k Crushing dmg
- Barrage - Crushing dmg
- Mangle - Crushing dmg
Strategy
Fairly simple Tank-n-Spank.
We use pet pull with MT on one side of hall and OT (or Ot's) on other side. MT takes named, OT's take the 2 trash mobs. Straight burn the adds, leave MT and swash on named. Once adds dead, just burn named. His Swipe hit's fairly sportingly, and appears to be a barrage.
Captain Ikalus
- Mob Health: 84x4 8,500,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing 5k-11k damage
- Special Attacks:
- Focus Anger - self buff
- Cloak of the Undead Captain - self buff
- Winds of Asphyxia - 2k-22k Poison dmg w/5k Power Drain
- Bolt From the Dead - 1k Magic dmg
- Raging Blow - 5k Slashing dmg
- Wild Swing - 4k Slashing dmg
- Barrage - Slashing dmg
- Mangle - 5k Slashing dmg
- Vicious Cut - 2k Slashing dmg
Strategy
Not much different than the 1st named. Be careful with pull as there are 2 trash mobs in room hiding in the near corners. Use monk or someone to safely prox pull the singles then pull named.
Just cure Asphyxia when it lands. We didn't bother to pull a timer on it, it wasn't that frequent and didn't require jousting.
Thet-em-aua
- Mob Health: 85x4
- Auto-Attack Type: Piercing 13k-20k damage
- Special Attacks:
- Arcane Cloak of the Thet - self buff
- Curse of the Thet -
- Thetian Thunderclap - 1k-2k power drain Magic (From Cloak)
- Ancient Wrath of the Thet - 20k Heat dmg w/11k power drain
- Toxic Fog - 8k-17k Poison dmg
- Mark of the Serpent - 1.5k-3k Magic dmg w/1k-2k power drain
- Acrid Cloud - 10k-20k Disease dmg
- Pungent Mist - 1k-2k Poison dmg
Strategy
Tough scripted encounter.
He can not be pulled out of his room. In fact trying to pull very far from his spawn location causes a raidwide nearly fatal aoe to go off. However pulling with raid positioned in line of site seems to prevent the AOE.
The key to this mob is learning the curses. Everyone needs to watch for getting cursed, and when you get one, you need to look at you're detrimental window and figure out which you have:
1. Curse of the Thet - Duration 9s, This causes you to drain 28% of the power of anyone you start to cast a spell on. This is really a healer debuff. Healers will drain the power of anyone they heal/cure under this curse. However, you only receive this curse by doing damaged to the named (1% chance). Healers should limit damage to named, and avoid autoattack to avoid this curse.
2. Mark of the Serpent - Duration (90s), This curse allows you to hit the adds that come from above and below him. It also gives you the ability to hit them for excessive damage. The point is the people that get this curse must move to where the adds are and kill them. If the adds get within 15m of the named they trigger a fail condition.
Also understand this mob has two noxious abilities. The first is a huge resist debuff that is interuptable. He likes to use this one on pull, so have COB going, and everyone use interupts on pull. He can cast it durring the fight (rarely) so keep interupts flowing. The second is a raidwide noxious that must be cured in 8 seconds. If not cured, you die. Have nox potion pots ready.
The preferred strat: Pull the Thet to the white bone pile on the wall at the bottom near the pool. When the mark of the serpent goes off (easy to see when 4 people get cursed at once), have them all run into the hallway and kill the ONE add from the hall. Then have them run into the pool and watch for the other 2 adds. They will come down either ramp around the pool to the named. Tag them and fight them against the wall in the pool. Using this strat most of your raid remains in heal/cure range most of the fight.
Everyone must pay attention to the nox and make sure its cured. You never know when you or your healer might be out of range dealing with adds. The noxious is only about every 45s and has little effect providing you cure it before it explodes.
Xebnok the Wretched
- Mob Health: 85x4
- Auto-Attack Type:
- Special Attacks:
- Focus Anger - self buff
- Aura of Intimidation - self buff
- Spinning Fury - AoE trauma attack that hits fairly hard and has a knock back component, but joustable.
- Missing Name - AoE Noxious Power drain - Must be cured immediately
- Missing Name - Single Target Arcane Stun (shows as incurable)
- Overwhelming Intimidation - Direct Target alternating Charm and Fear
Strategy
Pull location: Fight Xebnok on the ground next to his platform. We fight him with the tanks notched on the wall near the ramp, near the little corner/divit in the wall. Have them be warry of LoS to healers and they'll be fine there.
Place healers/raid on wall almost opposite of tank spot. Healers will need to move up slightly for heal range, but the knockback will push them a few meters back into the wall, and they'll have a small adjustment for the aoes.
You will also need to place a ranger/troub/scout/someone in the hallway leading to gynok at the T intersection.
Strategy: Xebnok has 2 initial adds and sets of adds that he will spawn durring the fight. You must kill these adds quickly or you get a failure condition and all die. The spawned adds will spawn either at the door at the bottom of Xebnok's room or back in the hallway around the T intersection (even around the corner there). Placing a ranger on this task works best for us as he can track when they spawn and call them, and he can spray them with arrows as he pulls them to the raid.
- Everyone must assist and kill adds as they spawn. This must be done quickly or you die.
- Incurable Arcane stun can be cured by using a 'salt' harvest from the thet's pool on the person with the incurable stun. We recommend 2 people in each group (non-healers) handle this task. Have a primary, and someone to cover them as needed.
- Cure nox!
- Joust spinning fury!
- Power Regen!
- Tank Swapping! - We recommend bringing a fearless spec'd crusader, a warrior, and a monk. But any 3 tanks or 2 tanks and a solid rogue work. You want a fear spec'd crusader and another tank on Xebnok. Since you know the fear and the charm will alternate and charm will always come first. The goal is to start with xebnok on the warrior. Let the warrior eat the charm then have the crusader tank. The crusader can then take the fear without worry, and the warrior does his best to rip xebnok off the crusader before the charm comes again. The goal is for the warrior to eat every charm if possible. You can have an enchanter mez the charmed person until it has worn off if you like. The third tanks is just for the initial x4 adds and the weak adds that spawn durring the fight.
It is possible to do this fight with less tanks, but you have to kill the adds while potentially dealing with Xebnok's aoe if its all on one or two tanks. It is simpler to pull the adds right on top of the dps and kill them as they have nothing special and can be delt with outside of Xebnok's painful trauma aoe.
Gynok
- Mob Health:
- Auto-Attack Type:
- Special Attacks:
- Touch of Death - Direct Targeted curse every 38s. Delevels target 10 levels.
- Missing Name - Random curse that must be cured or causes raid wipe fail condition
- Missing Name - Pee Vision. If you don't stand at Gynok's Feet and stop attacking, you kill the raid.
Strategy
Gynok comes with 4 adds and is a AE dps check fight. There are several elements your raid must master to getting this fight down.
- MT healers must handle the 38s Touch of Death curse that Gynok puts on his target (MT hopefully). This curse means death, even at level 90 this curse can get your tank killed. Your MT healers need to learn the casting animation for the curse and begin the curse cure as the animation is fired. Gynok will sort of stick his arm straight out as he's casting it, slightly different than how he casts his other abilities. The curse is also interuptable (if he isn't interupt immune at that time), so it can skip a round (or more).
- Your entire raid must deal with the vision debuff and staying in range of gynok without attacking him.
- The rest of your healers must deal with the random curse. It is important that they also cure this trash curse on the MT group as the MT healers MUST have their cure available to deal with Touch of Death.
- Your raid must kill Gynok within several minutes of the adds dieing or you fail.
How we kill it
Have the MT pull Gynok to the left side of the dead end hall way, have the OT (ae class I hope) pull the 4 adds to the opposite side. If your MT is geared enough he can tank it all, or if they're geared enough they can stand on top of each other to allow more ae dps. Your OT must cycle thru the 4 adds so that they are dps'd evenly. The adds are of different classes, and they each have their own special effect. One heals, one removes debuffs, one aggro wipes, the other dps's harder.
You will find many varried recommendations on which mobs to kill in which order, but do understand that Zaphirra will rez after she dies, and she will rez one other add during the fight. Many people make sure she dies first and re-kill her quickly. We however kill the mob that strips debuffs first, as the stripping of debuffs causes us to do far less dps.
- Keep MT up thru the fight
- Keep enough dps on Gynok so that he is around 60% (but not under 50%) when the adds are all dead. As close to 50% without going under is best. We usually keep MT scout on him for this purpose.
- Burn the adds down evenly first. Get them all under 25% if you can, then choose your kill target and get it dead. If it isn't the healer, then kill the healer 2nd and 3rd. Switch to the rezed mobs first and burn them down. The AE dps should finish off adds 3 and 4 while you deal with killing the others twice.
- Once adds are dead, burn Gynok like mad.
Again, depending on your dps profile, killing different adds first or adjusting this strat may be required.
Anything less than 6 healers is nearly impossible to deal with the curses on. If someone dies with the trash curse on, you wipe the raid.
