Named Monsters
Slavering Alzid
- Mob Health: 1,330,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks:
- Vanquish - Single Target Slashing (5000 dmg)
- Whirling Talons - Slashing AOE (5000 dmg) every 30 seconds
He comes with:
- 2 Doomwing Shacklers
- Mob Health: 200,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks:
- Ancient Terror - AOE Fear
Strategy
We use two tanks for this fight. Position your tank on the left wall. Position your melee dps on the back wall. Position your healers and casters in the corner at range from the MT. Use a Bruiser, Paly, or SK with Fear Immunity for the pull. Have them just throw something at the Shackler on the left. When the mobs come, have your MT burn his rescue on the named. All heals go to the MT while the raid dps burns down the adds. Once the adds are down, move in on the named. At level 70, he does not need to be jousted. His AOE doesn't hit that hard. The reason you need to burn down the adds first with an off tank is because of the Fear proc which the adds have. You don't want your MT being feared all over the place.
Doomright Vakritz
- Mob Health: 765,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Crushing
- Special Attacks:
- Incinerating Forge of Doom - Heat AOE DOT (1500 initial, 800 per tick)
He comes with:
- 2 Doomwing Reavers
- Mob Health: 180,000
- Special Attacks:
- Sentry Watch Guard - 7500 heal on the named
Strategy
This fight is simple. Don't even worry about the adds. Just burn down the named. The only difficult part is that the named drops his Forge of Doom randomly. So, start the fight at the end of the hall with healers/casters at max range. When the forge drops, the entire raid needs to shift down the hall out of its range. Have all your melee dps bring Elemental Cure Potions. Alchemists make these and having them takes a lot of pressure off your healers. This way they can focus on the MT and not worry about curing everyone in their group.
Pardas Predd
- Mob Health: 760,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Piercing
- Special Attacks:
- Nether Bolt - ST Magic (5000 dmg) every 20 seconds
- Enthralling Flames - Heat AOE and Stun (3000 dmg) every 50 seconds
- Firestorm - Heat AOE DOT (3000 initial dmg, 1500 per tick) every 75 seconds
At 65% he calls these 2 guys to help him
- Ancient Bound Abomination
- Mob Health: 185,000
- Special Attacks:
- Knockback
Strategy
We fight him in the room, with the MT going to the right wall and the raid force going left. The AOE has a stun, so you don't want to fight through it. We joust it. While the named is being fought, we keep 2 off tanks back in the middle of the room. When the named hits 65%, they each grab one add and bring them to a corner to negate the knockback. The raid force burns down the adds and then we resume jousting the named until he's dead.
Doom Triad
There are 3 mobs in this fight
Doom Ravager Ru'ystad
- Mob Health: 240,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks:
- Shadowblade - Single target cold direct damage (hits for about 7000 dmg causing some serious spikes) plus it has the effect of Debilitate He also mem wipes very frequently. This mob MUST be taken out first.
Doom Prophet Kin'vah
- Mob Health: 285,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks:
- Vengeful Terror - Divine based AOE which has the ability to fear anyone in the raid. Sometimes this can be a pain, sometimes, it doesn't fire the entire fight. He is also a healer and has a 7000 health heal. When you get the Ravager in the red, make sure the raid force goes all out on him so the heals don't keep him up. This is the 2nd mob we kill in the fight.
Doom Reaver Cheyak
- Mob Health: 785,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks:
- Stunning Howl - Mental based AOE stun (hits for about 2500). This goes off every 60 seconds. It's not that big a deal, but it will drive your healers nuts if you don't get the Ravager down in 60 seconds. This guy has the hardest auto-attack and most health of the three mobs. We kill him last.
Strategy
The hall leading to where these 3 named's are located has a Fear trap. So, you can't just go fight them, nor can you send just anyone down the hall to pull them. Preferably, we use a Necro to pull this encounter. That way he can feign death once the MT gets aggro on the first mob to come down the hall. If we don't have a Necro, we will use an SK or a Bruiser who has used the Fear Immunity line to make the pull. We have the entire raid force positioned in the lower left corner of the room we pull them to. The reason for this is because of the Ravager's mem wipe. While it is totally random and can be minimal sometimes, other times it can be an absolute pain. And the last thing you want is the Ravager ping ponging around the entire room while your tank helplessly searches for it (I have seen the Ravager change targets 10 times in the space of a few seconds due to his mem wipe). With everyone in that corner, the mobs are always right in front of the tank even if the Ravager mem wipes. The hardest part about this fight is the pull. If we can stabilize the fight after the pull, we win. All dps focuses on getting the Ravager down first. Due to the mem wipe, we go all out on dps until he's dead. When he's dead, we go after the Prophet. Then we kill the Reaver last.
Uncaged Alzid
- Mob Health: 1,470,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks:
- Strike of the Massive - Slashing AOE - Goes off every 30-40 seconds and hits for about 5k
- Uncaged Stomp - Crushing AOE - Goes off every 30-40 seconds and hits for about 4k
- Primal Fear - Magic Based AOE Fear - Goes off every 65 seconds
And as if that wasn't enough to contend with, every 30-40 seconds he spits out one of these:
- Mutagenic Discordant
- Mob Health: 36,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Cold
- Special Attacks:
- Fiery End - Heat AOE
If you don't kill it in a few seconds, it splits into 2. The process continues until you've got about 8000 of them. So kill em fast.
Strategy
As complex as this mob is, the process is simple. We do not joust the AOE's. We do not just have a few people handle the adds. After the pull is established, we go all out dps on the named. We use a main assist for this fight. When the mob spits out one of the adds, the entire raid dps changes targets onto the add. When the add is dead, we go back to the named. Healers must group heal through the AOE. So, you need at least 6 healers to do this mob (unless you have a group full or ranged who just don't get anywhere near the AOE). Make sure the other tanks are using an intercept rotation
Uustalastus Xiterrax
- Mob Health: 690,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Crushing
- Special Attacks:
- Gaze of Writhing Agony: Single Target Mental Direct Damage - Hits for about 3k.
He alternates being immune to Magic or Melee attacks. You will be able to tell two ways. First, he has a graphic which he does when he switches. He will look deep grey like iron when he's immune to Melee. He will be all psychodelic when immune to Magic. The second way is simply to watch for the text message. It will say something like he "puts on a hard shield" or "puts on a magical shield".
He also has 6 friends: 3 Deathless Wardens and 3 Deathless Warlocks
- Deathless Warden (x3)
- Mob Health: 33,000
- Special Attacks: Healers
- Deathless Warlock (x3)
- Mob Health: 28,000
- Special Attacks:
- Negative Absolution - Single Target Disease Direct Damage - Hits for about 1200
When each of the adds die, they blow up doing damage as well as a vertical knockback
Strategy
The eyeball and his friends won't be attackable right away, so you have to fight him in his room. We have the MT rush in and put himself in the corner of the room where there is a shelf above his head. That way the vertical knockback won't throw him anywhere. We burn down the 6 adds first and then we kill the named. He is very easy. The only thing you may experience is a long fight if you have a raid force that is lopsided to melee dps or magic dps since he's immune to one of the two at all times.
Doomright Zatrakh
- Mob Health: 1,115,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Piercing (4k-5k per hit)
- Special Attacks:
- Mortal Wound - Magic Based attack (possibly a DOT) - It appears to be an AOE, although sometimes it only lands on one target (the MT) - If it is allowed to terminate on a target, it does 90% health damage. Thus, the MT can go from 100% to red immediately if this is allowed to run its course. The healers MUST cure this thing immediately because when it expires, it does the damage..
- Surging Blows - Crushing AOE with a knockback- Hits for 4k - Goes off every 45 seconds
- Quivering Palm - ST Crushing attack - Hits for 5k
He also comes with 2 very nasty adds:
- Doomsworn Adept
- Mob Health: 210,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing
- Special Attacks: Hammerfist - Crushing attack - Hits for 4k
Strategy
This fight is ALL about the Magic DOT. If Mortal Wound stays on the MT, game over. If it gets cured, it is still a hard fight, but not that bad. His Crushing AOE is not that tough. So, we use one tank. We burn down the adds quickly and then focus on the named. The MT can go from 12k health to nothing in 1 shot though if the DOT is not cured immediately. We do not split the mobs. We do not joust. We've only beaten this guy with a high mitigation MT group using a Guardian as the MT and an SK/Paly as the secondary tank class in the MT grp.
The Corsolander
- Mob Health: 1,570,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing (2-5k dmg)
- Special Attacks:
- War Stomp - Crushing AOE (2500 dmg) with a knockback and stun every 45-50 seconds - Range is beyond max bow ranged - It can be resisted
- Fiery Hide - Heat DMG Shield. It can be resisted, but not worth trying.
Strategy
This guy has a HUGE aggro radius, so everyone in the raid needs to stay far away from him until the pull. Because of his damage shield, you CANNOT just auto attack or melee this mob. Summoners need to use Mage pets. The MT must ONLY taunt the mob. They must not use auto attack or use combat arts. Because of this, it can be a very difficult challenge to hold aggro. The MT gets hit very hard, so healers needs to concentrate on him and keep him in the green. That way when the stun sets in, he won't get two shotted cause the healers are stunned. This is a slow dps fight. And as he has lots of health, make sure everyone has shards and power potions. The MT puts himself into the corner of a column on the pull. The healers get to max range at a column opposite the MT. The casters get to max range by the healers. The melee dps positions themselves on the other side of the wall that the MT is on. The melee dps can then find a "sweet spot" to auto attack him w/out taking dmg from the dmg shield. The biggest key is watching aggro as the mob doesn't like to position himself in a friendly fashion to the dps. Everytime someone pulls aggro there is the possibility of having to reposition him which can be the difference between life and death.
Euktryzkai Amdaatk
- Mob Health: 870,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Crushing (3k dmg)
- Special Attacks:
- Gaze of Writhing Agony: ST Mental DD (3500 dmg) on a random timer
Strategy
He is inside the room below Vyemm. You can get to him by jumping into Vyemm's pit and going through the tunnel. Or you can go down the stairs to the right and come in through the back way. When you get in range, the script will start which reveals some diabolical plot between the Erudites and the Dragons. When they realize you are there, the Erudite runs and the eye attacks. He is a simple fight. Just kill him.
Alzid Prime
- Mob Health: 1,275,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing (2k dmg)
- Special Attacks:
- Vanquishing Blow: ST Slashing attack (3k dmg)
- Floor Punch: ST Crushing attack (3k dmg)
- Alzid's Tenacity: Self Heal when he gets to 13% (260,000 health)
Strategy
He gets bugged if you loot Vyemm's chest before killing him sometimes if you split him and Vyemm. When he's not bugged, he's easy.
Lord Vyemm
- Mob Health: 1,650,000
- Auto-Attack Type: Slashing (4k dmg)
- Special Attacks:
- Scream of Chaos: Long Range Crushing AOE (2k-4g dmg) with a Vertical Knockback every 35 seconds (Healers cannot avoid it at max range - Casters can)
- Energy Vortex: Frontal Magic Breath AOE (3k-5k dmg) every 70 seconds
- Tail Lash: Rear Facing Conal AOE (4k-6k dmg) every 70 seconds
Strategy
The hardest part of this fight is the pull. If you can split Vyemm and Alzid Prime, it's a piece of cake. This is the way we split them. The entire raid goes into the narrow hallway before the room with Vatrakh. The Healers get at max range on the right side of the hallway. The MT will position himself in a nook to the left at the beginning of the hallway. The DPS can pretty much be near the MT but on the right side and slightly behind the MT. The Mages can probably be on the stairs or near there. This spot really makes the Vertical Knockback much easier to deal with for everyone. We use a Conjuror to pull the encounter. He goes to the spot where the Corsolander spawns. He sends his pet to attack Alzid Prime. This puts Prime's hate on the Conjuror. Once the pet is sent in, the Conjuror halls butt to the stairs and beyond. The MT waits and grabs aggro on Vyemm when he runs by. This gets the raid on Vyemm, but keeps Prime chasing the Conjuror. Once Prime chases the Conj for a bit, he breaks off and goes back to his spawn. This way Vyemm can be fought alone. Then Vyemm is not too difficult. Burn him down and just be careful not to pull aggro :)
