It seems to meet the criteria and budget but looks to me like I could build better from parts.

I know it's tempting to bust the budget, but it isn't my money. I'm with ya on the 4g of ram but that's an easy upgrade for a later day.

Friend with a teen needs a build for under 500 dollars. It's for a teen so will need to at least function for gaming. The budget is strait for the PC it does not need a monitor or any peripherals.
